Job Description
College of Engineering and IT at the University of Dubai invites applications from qualified candidates for the position of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in Information Systems, with an anticipated start date in Fall 2026.

College of Engineering and Information Technology (CEIT) at UD is a premier academic unit offering ABET-accredited engineering and computing programs. The College offers undergraduate programs in Electrical Engineering (including Communication and Power & Renewable Energy concentrations), Computer Engineering, and Computing and Information Systems, as well as graduate programs in Data Science and Cybersecurity. Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- A PhD in Information Systems or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
- A record of peer-reviewed research publications and effective teaching in Information Systems.
- Experience with ABET outcomes assessment, continuous improvement, and curriculum development.
- Relevant industry or practical experience is an advantage.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.

The ideal candidate will also demonstrate:
- Innovative teaching practices that align learning outcomes, content, and assessment.
- Experience with, or strong interest in, diverse pedagogies and digital learning tools.
- Evidence of sustained scholarly output through recent publications in reputable, Scopus-indexed journals.
- Ability to initiate, secure funding for, and lead research and development projects.
- Experience in building and sustaining industry partnerships relevant to Information Systems.
- Evidence of societal impact through research, innovation, or commercialization.
- Ability to establish professional networks at national and international levels.
- Commitment to academic development and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Maintain an active and productive research agenda.
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Information Systems, as assigned.
- Supervise and mentor students, and support student recruitment and retention activities.
- Contribute to program, college, and university service activities.
- Initiate and develop research and academic projects aligned with the University of Dubai’s strategic priorities.
- Perform other academic and professional duties consistent with the role.
