Remote Sensing Researcher in MBRSC LAB

Job Description

The University of Dubai invites applications for the position of a Researcher in MBRSC LAB, for commencement of employment in October 2024. The Researcher should have a PhD or MSc degree in Computer Engineering/Science or closely related fields and expertise in Image Processing with the following requirements:

• Experienced in research with good publication record, as well as strong proficiency in conducting thorough literature reviews, data analysis, and synthesizing complex information into clear, coherent written works with excellent verbal communication skills.
• Proven experience in applying Image Processing techniques to remote sensing data.
• Strong programming skills in Python (MATLAB is optional) with a focus on machine learning libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
• Expertise in traditional image processing, as well as deep learning models for image classification, object detection, and segmentation applied to remote sensing data.
• Knowledge of big data handling, data preprocessing, and data augmentation techniques for geospatial data.
• Experience in code version control using Git.
• Active participation in scientific conferences and collaborations.
• Ability to adapt and learn on-the-go
