Job Description
Location: University of Dubai, UAE
Department: Centre for Online Learning and Teaching
Reports to: Vice President for Academic Affairs
Overview:
The University of Dubai seeks a skilled and innovative Instructional Designer to develop high-quality instructional materials aligned with UAE CAA standards. This role involves close collaboration with faculty and subject matter experts to enhance teaching and learning across disciplines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design engaging, standards-aligned learning materials using models like ADDIE.
- Develop multimedia content (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Suite).
- Manage and enhance courses within LMS platforms (e.g., Moodle).
- Integrate emerging technologies (e.g., AI, VR, LLMs).
- Create assessments and apply data analytics for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with faculty, conduct workshops, and ensure compliance with CAA standards.
- Manage multiple projects and maintain thorough documentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Instructional Design or related field.
- 2–5 years’ experience in instructional design and teaching (preferably in higher ed).
- Proficiency with authoring tools, LMS, and instructional design best practices.
- Strong communication, project management, and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of UAE CAA standards.
Preferred:
- Experience in multicultural academic settings.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CPLP).
